Moonis Elahi - Why KBD is For The Entire Pakistan

Ever wondered why we have such long hours of load shedding during the summer? We all know that Pakistan has no shortage of natural resources but it only lacks proper usage of the natural resources. Punjab, as the very name describes, five rivers which flow through the province has given it the name which is recognized all over the world. The province can prove to be host to eradication of load shedding from the entire country if the Kalabagh Dam is constructed. Moonis Elahi has once again highlighted the benefits our country can reap if the KBD ever becomes a reality.

Currently Moonis Elahi is the only politician vouching for the construction of Kalabagh Dam while the present PMLN Govt seems more interested in Bhasha Dam. It would not hurt if both dams are constructed but with the facts put forth by the young PMLQ politician, it certainly is lucrative and definitely aimed to benefit the entire country rather than just one region. Pakistan currently faces a lot of shortages and the issue of water shortage has started to surface now more than often. The Pakistan - India water treaty is one of the longest standing treaties between the two countries but lately the latter seems to find it amusing to revoke it.

While the Bhasha Dam, a project of the PMLN Govt aims to produce 4500 Megawatts of electricity, it is a very expensive project and can be a victim to shortage of budget in the middle of the project. The government would have to further apply for loans for its completion which means that the poor Pakistani will be pressed under more debt. We can only hope it doesn't meet the same fate as that of Nandipur. While the nation is confused whether the Bhasha Dam or Kalabagh Dam would be the most suitable solution for the nation, it has become more of a tug of war game where Moonis Elahi supporters favor KBD but PMLN supporters vote for Bhasha Dam.

Moonis Elahi, in most of his speeches has always urged his followers and the people of Pakistan to not think narrowly and support a cause because it is launched by their favorite leader. He has always said we must think as a nation and only support the cause for the sake of the nation. Unless we weed out the favoritism mentality Pakistan will still suffer and due to its suffering we as a nation will all suffer. It is time that Pakistani's study the facts and press the government to build dam which will be the dam for all Pakistanis.

Moonis Elahi Stance On Sustainable Energy Recognized

Moonis Elahi Stance On Sustainable Energy Recognized

In a recent interview in Lahore, Punjab Mines and Mineral Minister Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan has also agreed to the fact that sustainable energy is the key to a sustainable future. Moonis Elahi, a young prominent politician and a leader of PMLQ, has always raised his voice in favor of Kalabagh Dam which guarantees sustainable energy. The controversial dam has been maligned by many politicians who are known to be in good books with the neighboring country India. It is widely speculated being funded by the neighbor country, these politicians have started a drive to misguide the nation about the dam and refrain it from becoming a reality which in fact would be a blessing to the country.
At the inaugural session of consultative meeting titled "Sustainable Energy for All" by the UNDP, it was discussed that Pakistan is one of the most important countries of the world and it is time it should seriously think about sustainable energy. The need for a cheap means to obtain electricity is the need of the hour and the entire nation stands firm on it, but unless all fears and misconceptions are cleared, obtaining a reliable source would not be seen happening. Moonis Elahi has been urging the government to call a meeting where the heads of all political parties from the country would be called and strictly debate about Kalabagh Dam.
The Sustainable Energy for All aims at tackling the Goal - 7 of SDG's through a 3 pronged approach. It is a good initiative taken by the minister but Moonis Elahi fears it might just be table talk because the PMLN government does not initiate projects that would not benefit them directly. While the Nandipur Power Project turned out to be no more productive than the National Action Plan of incumbent government, it was a huge fiasco and billions of Rupees were wasted on it. The country still faces 8 - 12 hours of load shedding in the summer in urban areas whereas in the villages they are lucky to get 4 hours of electricity a day.
Moonis Elahi pointed out the fact that progressive countries like China and USA are still busy in constructing more dams over their rivers although they do not face the menace of load shedding. But due to some corrupt politicians the one and only dam which could be built after 60 years with minimum cost bearing is made controversial. Without dams Pakistan would soon be one of those countries that are constantly thirsty. If water becomes scarce, not only wouldn't we be deprived of water to drink, there would be no water to irrigate our lands and run factories.

Moonis Elahi Calls For Efforts To Build Kalabagh Dam

Kalabagh Dam-moonis Elahi

As India speeds up its drive to create problems for Pakistan, it has declared to revoke the Indus water treaty. This act would cause shortage of water within Pakistan hence forcing it to the brink of drought. Pakistan has taken up the case to World Bank to stop India from constructing illegal dams on the Neelum and Chenab rivers.

Moonis Elahi Says KPK Crops in Danger

Moonis Elahi Says KPK Crops in Danger

Moonis Elahi is one of the very few politicians of Pakistan who really care about the ecology of the country. The country faces grave dangers in near future due to climatic changes and unless concrete steps are taken today, Pakistan can face drought and famine in the coming years. To control 40 MAF of water to go to waste each year and to store that water is one the of the main reasons Kalabagh Dam is much needed.

If we are able to store this water, 50000MW electricity can be produced with is 3X more than our current need. The Kalabagh Dam reservoir with water storage capacity of 6.1 MAF has the potential to provide additional 4 MAF to Sindh, 2.2 MAF to KPK, 2 MAF to Punjab and 1.5 MAF to Baluchistan. Without a doubt KPK needs Kalabagh Dam to save it's agriculture as low rains and climate change are likely to affect 68% of KPK crops.

CM Gilgit and Moonis Elahi Say the Same

CM Gilgit and Moonis Elahi Say the Same

Moonis Elahi has been a staunch supporter of the Kalabagh Dam project. He has said time and again that building the dam is the need of the hour and can save Pakistan. Pakistan is one of the top 10 water stressed countries of the world and nearly 40 MAF of water is wasted each year by falling in the Arabian Sea.

Since the idea sprung up, Kalabagh Dam has become controversial. Now after many years, CM Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeesur Rehman has said India has sabotaged Kalabagh Dam project. Funding its puppets in the parliament, India has successfully managed to make it controversial.

Moonis Elahi and the leadership of PMLQ have already proposed the construction of Kalabagh Dam which could be completed in 5 years. It has the tendency to produce 3600 Megawatts thus ending the crisis. But due to some political gains and the interference of international agencies, PMLN's government does not pay heed towards it but dreams on building the Bhasha Dam.

Moonis Elahi Says Kalabagh Dam Made Controversial by India

Moonis Elahi Says Kalabagh Dam Made Controversial by India-! کالاباغ ڈیم Ú©Û’ نقاد ۔۔۔۔ذرا سوچیں

India stoops to all time low by threatening to abrogate water treaty. An agreement signed in 1960 between the two countries by then elected leaders was an agreement that both the countries would not engage in water wars. Revoking it would cause a sever water shortage in Pakistan which could lead to its destruction.

Moonis Elahi has pressed upon the building of Kalabagh Damtime and again. It has been made controversial by Indian funded agents in Pakistan to stop Pakistan from having a dam that does not rely on Indian waters. The main points to keep in mind are:

  • Indian funded agents have made Kalabagh Dam controversial so that Pakistan does not store water enough and one day will become completely barren.
  • While Indian agents have managed to make Kalabagh Dam controversial, it the mean time it has constructed Kishan Ganga Dam, Bagliar Dam, Salal Dam, Uri Dam and many more on the very rivers that flow into Pakistan.
  • To date India keeps terrorizing through its water treaty and it is one of the factors for its terror in Kashmir.

Moonis Elahi Pays Tribute to Army Jawans

51st-defence-day-moonis-elahi-paid-tribute-to-the-martyrs-of-our-army-jawans

On the 51st Defence Day Moonis Elahi paid tribute to the martyrs of our army jawans. He said the nation is in debt of the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to protect the homeland and indirectly the citizens who live in the country. While there are people who speak ill of our army, the patriots must distance themselves from such miscreants who are paid by the enemies to destabilize the country from within.

Moonis Elahi is undoubtedly a true patriot and the next generation leader of the nation. He has always stood for the poor and has raised his voice on issues that are really important for our beloved country Pakistan. His stance on Kalabagh Dam is clear that it is a must have for the survival of our nation. While he is widely known to be a leader in Punjab but has always stood for the rights of people living in other provinces as well.

Moonis Elahi has never spoken ill about our brave army that has thwarted India's efforts to raid our country a number of times. He has always supported the army in times of trouble and has pledged to devote his life for the cause of Pakistan. He actively participates in lifting Pakistan's image through his politics and has never aligned himself with those that work for the destruction of the country or our army.
