PML Q projects for Child Protection and walfare
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said the Punjab government is damaging institutions meant for the welfare of deprived children.
Talking to a delegation on Monday, he said the self-tiled Khadim Aala of Punjab is destroying these essential institutions because they had been set up by the earlier (Q) government. This also resulted in the flight of foreign support previously guaranteed for these projects, he said. Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that his government had established the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau in Punjab as a department in 2004.
The driving force behind this department was my personal motivation to alleviate the miseries of children begging at traffic signals and in busy squares, he said, adding from the camel children to the socially neglected young ones we had arranged accommodation, education and social support for thousands of such most neglected children of Punjab.
He said that the department of Child Protection & Welfare Bureau was established through an Act of the Punjab Assembly. He said that under this initiative, his government had set up child protection institute, child protection units, child help line, open reception centre and special schools for these children.
These child protection units were established at Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalpur. We provided shelter to more than 10,000 children separated from their loved ones. Such children also included the 2005 earthquake victims. Pervaiz Elahi accused Shahbaz Sharif government for trying its level best to destroy all such public welfare initiatives credited to Pervaiz Elahi’s earlier government of Punjab.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Refreshes Nation's Memory in Dunya TV Interview
PMLN is famous for building roads and does not shy away from taking full credit of it. They are known to even take credit for most of the work they have not initiated but have become a part of its completion. Known to remain in the spotlight through advertisements and displaying banners on Mall road Lahore, CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has become the most prominent politician of the country.
Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi appeared in a TV interview on Dunya TV and when asked the question about his performance in Punjab said, "I have built roads more than 37,000 KM in Punjab". When asked why doesn't the public remember those roads, he answered in the most humble way that his government's priority was to serve the people of Punjab and not use their tax money for personal glorification.

Moonis Elahi, son of former CM Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been a member of the Punjab Parliament since then and played an active role during his father's tenure. Being a young politician he was mostly assigned tasks which would help him understand politics of Punjab and hone him to become a good future leader.
Moonis Elahi wasn't present in the Dunya TV interview but was discussed more often in it.
During the PMLQ era, Punjab had a record GDP of 7.5% and people's lifestyle was greatly alleviated during that period. Moonis Elahi was tasked to learn as much as was possible and neither he nor his father ever used taxpayers money to glorify their acts of good governance. The former CM also recalled his social welfare projects and Rescue 1122 is one of their greatest gifts to the nation for it is a one of kind ambulance service which has the ability to cope with international standards.

Moonis Elahi pointed out Shahbaz Sharif works in a different fashion and he is known to sabotage or completely shut down the projects of his opponents without thinking about the effect it will have on the poor nation. PMLN's vindictive policy has done this country great harm but since their advertisements are too strong and targeted, people tend to forget the good works of the previous governments and think every positive work done is by the PMLN.
When asked during the interview by host Dr. Moeed Pirzada about the future of Moonis Elahi in future politics, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that his son was ready to enter politics and he has matured now. It would not be wrong to say that among the young politicians, Moonis Elahi & Hamza Shahbaz are the only ones who have been a part of a government. Bilawal Zardari has now entered politics, holding rallies and delivering thunderous speeches but has zero experience of are the duties of a political leader.

Nawaz Sharif Becoming Worse Than a Dictator
During the era of PMLQ government, the leaders Moonis Elahi, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had ended the draconian law where prime minister vested the power to sack the heads of Public Sector Entities (PSE's) without any warnings. It was a rule widely practiced by the older PMLN and the slain Benazir Bhutto of PPP. The power to sack any head of the public sector was to simply terrorize them to obey any order issued by the government no matter how harmful it may be for the nation at large.
Using the power before, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto (late) had created unrest in the country and both were on a looting spree unstoppable by any state department. Moonis Elahi, a member of the parliament and son of former CM Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has expressed deep concern over the powers Nawaz Sharif now possesses. The N League government has silently restored the 3 decades old power where the Prime Minister would sack PSE's heads without any reasoning. He said the misuse of this power is the reason why we see the Panama Gate scandal today.
Had there been any head of state powerful enough to question him then, the flight of money which has now become a national issue would not have happened. Now Nawaz Sharif has become powerful once again and it is sign of increased corruption in future. Moonis Elahi shed light on one incident last year when SNGPL Chief Executive Arif Hameed was sent home packing without any previous notice.
He was laid off his duties unceremoniously because he refused to sign agreements related to imports of LNG and its sale as it was not in the interest of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. Nawaz Sharif has become a dictator and doesn't take no for an answer. He only thinks about personal interests and not for the national cause. Honest government officers are finding it hard to work under his rule and the ones who resist are sacked without any notice.
PMLQ's young political leader Moonis Elahi is deeply concerned about the trends being set by the incumbent government. The negative trends will leave a mark for centuries to remove and the ill practice of using force over government institutions for personal gains will pave path for corrupt people to come in power. Our country will be destabilized very easily once we have corrupt people at the top looting the country without resistance. It will be hard for future politicians to weed out the corrupt practices PMLN is rooting today. We as a nation must stand against these practices today to save our future and the future of Pakistan.

PMLN Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Misusing Powers to Grab Land
Punjab Law Minister hailing from Faisalabad Rana Sanaullah and his relatives are identified to be involved in land grabbing activities. Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) PMLQ Punjab Information Secretary Akram Chaudhry said the law minister must look at the mess in his own district before pointing fingers towards others.
PMLQ's young leader Moonis Elahi also expressed concerns that if a minister gets involved in breaking the law, how do we expect him to uphold the law. The people look for justice towards the law minister and if his family is given a free hand to commit crimes then how can a common man expect anything from the law.
Pakistan is already a victim of lawlessness thanks to the corrupt policies of N League which is in Govt now. While the PM Nawaz Sharif's case is being heard in the Apex court of Pakistan against his undeclared wealth and investments in off shore companies, the country on the whole seems to have no rule of law.
Street crimes have increased in Punjab and Moonis Elahi had said Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had formed an exceptional police force to combat such crimes. There is evident proof that the traffic wardens had issued challans to parliament members who violated traffic laws but today no police officer has the power to stop an MPA or MNA while ministers are completely out of their reach.

Moonis Elahi Warns Govt Should See Writing On The Wall
Lahore 1st November 2016 - PMLQ leader and a parliamentarian in the Punjab Assembly, Moonis Elahi has pressed Nawaz Sharif should read into the severity of the matter and handle it sensibly with regards to Panama Leaks and security of Islamabad before it is too late. "PMLN is left with two options, 1) either the premier should present himself for accountability in Panama Case and disclose the name of person involved in the security leak or 2) act stubbornly and prepare to get weakened politically finding it hard to cling to power" said Moonis Elahi.
While talking to DAWN on Monday, Moonis Elahi said it was impossible for the government to be unaware about the person behind the security leaks. "It is hard to understand why the Govt is taking so long to conclude its investigation in the security leaks." While adding on the current Govt stance to tackle Islamabad situation "taking extreme measures by blockading roads and arresting however it wishes is ruining PMLN's image and is of no service to democracy".
An FIR has been registered against Moonis Elahi in Islamabad for allegedly sending a truck load of PMLQ party flags and sticks with regards to Nov 2. Some PMLQ leaders are of the view, PMLN targets Moonis Elahi son of former Deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as part of its vindictive policy. "It was a tactic used to deter us from the support we are lending to Imran Khan regarding Nov 2, but we are firm and are not afraid of fake cases" a PMLQ leader quoted.
Moonis Elahi said his party workers would reach Islamabad no matter what. "Police have already arrested over 800 workers of our party from Gujrat, including MPA Vickas Mokal but we aren't intimidated by these antics and will reach Islamabad at any cost". Most of the workers are leaving for Islamabad from Gujrat a stronghold of Chaudhrys. "Police have raided residences of a number of our active members in Punjab, especially Gujrat" said a PMLQ office bearer.

Tax Money Being Flushed Due to PMLN's Vindictive Policy Against PMLQ
Wazirabad CardiologyHospital a venture by PMLQ with no personal interest but to provide relief to the rural areas of Punjab which are forever forgotten by PMLN was a huge project for the region. It would have manage to save hundreds of lives every year but PMLN had other plans. It is their policy to undermine and staunch all progressive ventures by their predecessors.

Moonis Elahi Rejects PMLN's Debt Servicing Policy
The young but politically mature PMLQ's youth leader, Moonis Elahi clearly criticized PMLN's debt servicing policy. Acquiring loans frantically would soon destabilize the economy and Rupee would be devalued taking the country to the same precipice it was in 1999.

Pakistan is a country with great potential and with the right policies it can soon be brought on the road to progress. PMLQ during their tenure 2002-2007 has clearly demonstrated that Pakistan can be a progressive country. The current government needs come up with concrete solutions to stabilize economy and refrain from taking any further loans.

Kashmir Has Always Been a Part of Pakistan
Over the past few months India has increased oppressing Kashmiris in an attempt to instill fear and forget about Pakistan. India's tyranny has resulted in increased hatred by Kashmiris and their will to join Pakistan has become immutable.

By now Moonis Elahi and leaders of all other political parties have come out openly supporting Kashmir's freedom. Kashmiris have also resort to fight back their oppressors and have started using tactics that further enrage the Indian army. Draping their martyrs in the Pakistani flag is not only a tactic to show resistance but also the will to join Pakistan and become free.

Nawaz Befriends Pakistan's Enemies
Pakistan's arch nemesis India has always been involved in promoting anti Pakistan schemes. To simply engage Pakistan in a kind of war it is oppressing Kashmiris. As the world today recognizes India's persecution of Kashmiri civilians, India finds an excuse to undermine Pakistan.

It comes our spewing vitriol to divert the world's attention from Kashmir. Moonis Elahi, Imran Khan, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and many other leaders of the nation support the Kashmir in-dependency cause. Nawaz Shareef should keep his friendships to a personal level and welcoming Narendra Modi clearly sends out waves of shock among the nation.

Moonis Elahi and PMLQ's Mega Project Lahore Sports City Axed by PMLN's Vindictive Policy
No nation can flourish unless it is provided adequate opportunities to earn freely. Roti, Kapra and Makan is not just a slogan to win votes, they are the very basic needs of every citizen of a country and unless they are provided with opportunities to earn them in a respectable manner a nation cannot progress. While the slogan was used in the past to arouse sentiments of the nation and simply gain attention for political gains, Moonis Elahi and the leadership of PMLQ actually tried to turn this slogan into a reality in the form of Lahore Sports City. Conceived by PMLQ in 2005, it was one such concrete effort to provide the city of Lahore with a sustainable source of decent livelihood. The mega project was not only aimed to further beautify Lahore, but to also provide a huge business opportunity to the city.

Moonis Elahi's Vision on Growth and Development Moonis Elahi is a Wharton Business School USA graduate and strongly believes in sustainable development through achievable and measurable goals. It was due to his vision for growth and prosperity of the region that he participated actively with his father Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, leader of PMLQ in creating novel and highly profitable ventures and Lahore Sports City was also such venture.
The project was put on the table in the parliament and it was agreed that upon completion it would be able to create up to 100,000 annual job opportunities. The project was to be completed by 2011 and aimed to provide 20,000 homes based on contemporary architecture equipped with modern amenities can only be seen in the developed countries. Foreign Investment To Fund The Project As Pakistan was progressing at break neck speed in all sectors, but still it suffered backlashes from the doings of previous governments. To make the project a reality, an unprecedented agreement was signed between the Punjab government and the brotherly Islamic country of United Arab Emirates (UAE). UAE agreed to invest Rs. 12 billion in the project which could ultimately make Lahore Sports City Asia's ultra modern housing project. It's proposed site was on the bank of river Ravi and the project spanned over 600 acres of land.
The idea to construct it by the historical river was to provide an added attraction and also to preserve the river. Being a firm supporter of environment preservation, Moonis Elahi played an important role to convince investors to set up a state of the art water purification plant on the river Ravi so as to introduce clean water instead of the sewage falling as of now. PMLQ's efforts had brought peace in Punjab making it a calm and visibly progressive province. Considering the various ongoing projects and their progress in the province, investors were obvious that Punjab was an investment friendly province. To his great disappointment, Moonis Elahi feels PMLN's vindictive policy to dump the project has denied a huge investment opportunity in Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif Orders to Barricade Lahore and Rawalpindi
Moonis Elahi, Imran Khan, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Chaudhry Shujaat and many other prominent opposition leaders of the state have raised their voices over the way PMLN is handling the current situation. They all are of view that democratically it is the fundamental right of the citizens to protest against the incumbent government if their demands are not met. The government must accept their mistakes willingly and ensure public demands are met. They are elected to serve the people and not to consider them as their enemies.
Moonis Elahi a parliamentarian and a member of the opposition has condemned the use of force to shut down the cities as if they were being attacked by the enemy state. It was a practice witnessed in the past by the kings who would use force against the very people they ruled and it clearly seems that Nawaz Sharif thinks of himself as a king. Opposition parties hold rallies and marches when the ruling party does not pay heed to their issues inside the parliament. The rally is not meant to topple but is a wake-up call by the nation to come to the right path.
Moonis Elahi has expressed grief over the lives lost by the Gullu Butts of PMLN blocking the roads and not letting even the ambulances pass. Even if the way is blocked for protesters, ambulances aren't run by protesters they are a medium of transport for the ill who need medical assistance. The prime minister must order the local police to make way for the ambulances and ensure common man's life isn't disrupted by the clash of political parties.
